Dr. Hartmut Geiger, PhD, co-founder, Scientific Advisor

Hartmut has over 25 years of experience in academic research specializing on stem cell biology. Currently he is Professor and Director of the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Ulm University. Prior to that, he was a Professor at Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation.  His scientific interests lie in the molecular and cellular mechanisms of hematopoiesis, hematopoietic stem cell regulation and related immunologic functions. Together with the co-founder, Dr. Yi Zheng, Hartmut discovered the crucial role of Cdc42 in adult stem cell regulation and aging. His work unveiled a central position of Cdc42 activity in polarity regulation during the aging process which dictates reduced stem cell function. He has over 130 peer reviewed research articles. His pioneering conceptual framework of targeting Cdc42 activity for stem cell rejuvenation forms Mogling Bio’s scientific basis.
